Czech language.
Czech is an Indo-European language. It belongs to the Western subgroup of the Slavic language group. It is the official language of the Czech Republic. There are approximately 10 million speakers. The language has four dialect groups: namely Bohemian, Haná, Silesian and Moravian. Czech has an inflected grammatical structure and synthetic expressions of grammatical meaning are highly common. There are virtually no loan words in the Czech vocabulary. Stress is fixed on the first syllable and a differentiation is made between long and short vowels. The language is written in the Latin alphabet with diacritical signs. The first documents written in Czech date back to the 13th Century.
